Let’s see.

From the current NWS forecast for Marion County:

Saturday…Snow. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Highs in the mid 30s. Temperature steady or slowly falling in the afternoon. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent.

1 to 2 inches NWS forecast translates out as 4 to 6 inches actual on the ground, right?

  1. If the forecast comes from StormTeam/ScareTeam6/8/13/59 I take the opposite tack: take the minimum forecast and divide by two.
In any case I better follow the Hoosier tradition and race to the store and buy bread, eggs and milk. After all there was that one time back in ’78 we could not get out for a day…
