Of course, then he comes back after the interview and says he was lying (and this is about the third different story he’s told). But from day one I was convinced they didn’t rape and kill her — nothing in it for them and nothing in their backgrounds to suggest that they might have. I just assumed she’d been taken offshore alive by a third party, and that eventually the boys would be flashing enough money around that it would be obvious what happened.
What the cops need to do is take those boys into a back room with a length of rubber hose, and proceed to beat the truth out of them. No matter what happened to Ms. Holloway, they acted like barbarians, so they ought to be treated ditto.
