even given that Fred endorsed him, I have to agree that it’s time for Huckabee to go away.
“The results from tonight’s primary elections in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., make it mathematically impossible for Governor Huckabee to secure the Republican nomination for president,” Davis wrote. “He now needs 950 delegates to secure the required 1,191. But in the remaining contests there are only 774 delegates available. He would need to win 123 percent of remaining delegates.”
I still don’t know if I can actually vote for McCain. I’m tired of all the “lesser of two evils” ballots I’ve had to cast in my lifetime. McCain has got a lot to prove to me between now and November.
There’s only one reason to vote for McCain, but it’s a good one: SCOTUS. Whoever Obama nominates will essentially be a Marxist. McCain’s nominee(s) might not be who we’d choose, but the alternative will be far worse.
At most we’ll have McCain for eight years, but we might have Obama’s justices for forty.
It’s distasteful, but I don’t see that there’s a choice.
Agreed, that is definitely a good reason to hold my nose and pull the Pubby lever.
