today about one thing — he was touting how he could use his work Mac to open a window on his home Mac and bring up a file he’d inadvertently left there, and ha ha to Windows users who can’t.
I don’t know about most Windows users, but I use WinXP Remote Desktop to reach my home machine from my laptop all the time, and to reach my telecommuter machine 600 miles from here, too (from which I can reach the Win2K and W2K3 servers in the server room). So, sorry, Rush. This isn’t something the Mac has a monopoly on by any stretch of the imagination.
The only thing stopping most people from doing this — Mac AND Windows people — is that they don’t have a static IP address and a DNS entry for their home machine. But that’s what dynamic DNS is for.
Macs are teh sux0r anyway. (Just to get the party started. 🙂 )
