and Mitch probably guaranteed his reelection by Solomonically decreeing that 2007 property taxes would be rolled back to 2006 levels (and making Bart and Co. look like idiots in the process).
What bothers me is the order to reassess all property. How many times are we going to reassess property in this county before we get it right?

That’s true, but politically it seems like a good move for him. Unless of course it wasn’t.
Unfortunately I didn’t read the whole story and originally thought he meant this for the whole state. Chris clued me last night that it was only Marion County. So maybe he doesn’t look as smart as he could have.
