When is an offset not an offset?

When it’s a carbon offset.
Look, here’s the deal. Rich fucks like Algore are buying “carbon credits” from people who don’t need them in order to sustain their unsustainable carbon-emitting lifestyles. But the people they’re buying them from weren’t using them anyway (that’s why they had them to sell).
So in other words, the glitterati who can afford to buy carbon credits are putting more crap in the air than would be there if they didn’t buy the credits and simply stopped living so high on the hog.
I’m no math whiz, but I can figure out the illogic in carbon credits as well as anyone else.
