I did not always see eye to eye with him, but where we differed sort of disappears into the murky depths of the past when considered against the Georgia peanut farmer who followed him and almost destroyed this country. Ford was unfairly tarred with the brush of the Nixon pardon, which in hindsight probably did more for us as a country that we want to admit even now.
