The Council of Jewish Communities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip (Yesha Council) on Wednesday rejected a Foreign Ministry request to hire bulletproof buses from Yesha in order to transport participants to and from Yasser Arafat’s funeral in Ramallah.
The funeral is expected to take place Friday after a ceremony in Cairo.
The heads of settler council scoffed at the Foreign Ministry’s request, saying, “We are not ready to honor an abominable murder[er] who spilled the blood of many Jews.”
