Just as in 1968, the protests are getting violent. (Sorry, NYT requires registration. I registered, so can you.)
I don’t understand how violent protesters assume that by being violent, they can get people to agree with their program. The fact is, the more I look at these scumbag ’60’s rejects, the more I’m glad George Bush and the Republicans — the grownups — are in power.
I can’t believe that most people don’t have the same feeling. Who wants to be ruled by the mob? And friend, what we’ve got in the streets of New York right now is a howling, out-of-control mob.
If you’re voting for “anybody but Bush”, please reconsider. The mob is not your friend any more than Kerrible is.
