The UN … well, not even the “UN”, just one of it’s “human” “rights” “investigators”, is trying a little restraint-of-trade action against Caterpillar, Inc. This asshole, er, excuse me, “investigator”, is trying to tell Caterpillar that unless it stops selling bulldozers to Israel, it could find itself charged with human rights violations.
A United Nations human rights investigator last week warned Peoria-based Caterpillar Inc. against selling construction equipment to Israel because it “might involve complicity … to actual and potential violations of human rights, including the right to food.” Caterpillar, which recently rejected a proposal put to stockholders to review its sales to Israel, said it cannot control how purchasers use equipment.
I hope Caterpillar tells this officious fuck…er, “investigator”…to FOAD.
And I hope this is one more nail in the coffin of the UN. Can we get out now, please, President Bush?
