Pacers v Grizzlies

…possibly the worst officiating I’ve seen in my life, in any sport, bar none. So many fouls, so little time.
Jason Williams walked back to Memphis the entire game.
Bonzi Wells was kicking our butts until he took an elbow to the head and sat out the rest of the game.
The only thing that saved us was that we managed to shut down their offense to the point where they got desperate and stopped sharing the ball. They only scored 33 points in the entire second half after wiping the floor with us in the first. (Yeah. I know. It was tied at the half. The box score doesn’t reflect the floor wiping that was going on until the half was nearly over.)
The Pacers need to play Scott Pollard and they need to trade Jamaal Tinsley or dip his hands in glue for the next game. And as much as Austin Croshere contributed last night, it’s really time to shop him, except that his contract is so expensive that nobody will ever take him. We’d still have Brad Miller if Austin had taken a pay cut.
Bright spot — Fred Jones is coming along nicely. As my friend (coincidentally, also named Fred) who sat with us at the game last night said, you have to respect the Fred.
