Hugh Hewitt makes a good point.
“JOHN MARSHALL has made his decision,” Andrew Jackson is said to have remarked in the aftermath of a Supreme Court decision he disliked, “now let him enforce it.”
Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney would be well advised to ponder that line long and hard over the Thanksgiving holidays.
Maybe that’s the way to rein in the activist courts. Just start ignoring them. Since they have no enforcement unit, and rely on the Executive to enforce the law, how exactly do they expect to force their will on anyone?
Pretty much what Andy Jackson said.
