The Prof should stick to what he knows

I have to say that I’m getting a little tired of Instapundit’s continuing attacks on the Justice Department.
Is he saying that Justice should completely abandon all business except that which investigates possible terrorism? Perhaps I am simplisme, but that’s what I’m reading here…
This is another one of those cases where you sort of have to sit back and say, gee, if we stop investigating “drug kingpins” and so forth, the terrorists win, because they’ve made us stop working on our everyday problems so we can focus on terrorism instead.
It seems to me that we can do both, kind of like we can fight a war in Iraq and Afghanistan but not have to stop selling cars or start rationing foodstuffs. Which as I recall is something that even the Professor has applauded over time.
