“Objective News”????

USAToday tells us (my emphasis in bold):

With Fox News clobbering it by a 1 million to 2 million viewer margin at night and a 250,000 margin in the morning, CNN, the onetime cable news leader, is regrouping. . . .
CNN is trying to capitalize on Zahn’s popular appeal, while distancing itself from the opinionated bombast on Fox News.

Gee, we’re completely fair and balanced here at Gannett-For-The-Masses, aren’t we?

. . . Fox News is winning with its mix of confrontational talk-show hosts like O’Reilly and edgy news anchors like Shepard Smith, but CNN executives say that format is not for them.
Instead, they say they’re sticking with the one that CNN founder Ted Turner chose two decades ago: objective news.

ROTFL. This on the heels of CNN telling us that they didn’t report objectively in Iraq because they were afraid of being thrown out on their ear.
