The guy who shot my next-door neighbor in the face and killed her in July 1998 actually was convicted and is still doing time; earliest possible release date, 06/20/2023.
There was some question as to whether or not he'd be convicted or even go to trial, and I lost track of the story after I moved away. Glad to hear it after all these years.
The claim at the time was that she was a member of the Farrell family of ice cream parlor fame. Given that the name is not spelled the same, I found (and still find) that to be highly unlikely.
Anyway, I had reason to check out Bob Farrell's customer service training program today and got to wondering about it. And now I know.
