I see Storm Team Scare Team are working this storm overtime. Sheesh. You'd think we'd never had an ice storm. Or snow. Watching them freak out, you wonder what they'd do if there were a plague of locusts, or if it really did start raining cats and dogs.
Motivated me enough to go get the few things that were still standing between parking in the garage and not parking in the garage out of the way, though. That should make the wife happy (and is the only reason I went to the trouble). Unfortunately the Intrepid is too long to fit with the door closed, so it will have to ride the storm out unprotected. (Not that there are actually two bays in our two-car garage currently available.)
The only thing that worries me is the old maple out front. If we get too much ice I imagine one of its main branches -- which is already cracked -- will be down in the driveway. Well, I've got the chainsaw, gas, and chain oil set where I can get them just in case.
The real bitch of it is, unless the power goes, I'll still be at work. No snow days for telecommuters!
