Why not let private interests build the road and (genius!) let them collect tolls to pay for it?
Jesus, legislators. Do I have to do all your thinking for you? Does the government really have to build ALL the roads?
(I'll still avoid using it by taking my usual I-80/I-94 avoidance route (I-65 to US 30 to Illinois 394). But come on. Think outside the box for a change.)
