I should probably note that there were absolutely no special TSA protocols laid on in the wake of the Fire-In-His-Pants Bomber.* We walked right up to TSA in Indy, blew right through without any incident, and nobody mentioned any special new rules in flight.
When we walked out of Arrivals at our destination, the line to get through TSA was short and moving right along.
I understand that there are new rules for inbound international flights. Hopefully TSA won't waste their time with any new rules for domestic flights. Unless they're rules that say CCW permittees can carry on board.

* Once the initial adrenaline rush was over and the guy was secured, that had to be a riot. "Heh. Dumbass wannabe set his pants on fire. Bet that smarts. Heh." I think al-Qaeda's professionalism level hit its highest point on 9/11. Nothing since then seems to have been mounted by anyone with brains. It probably is hard to find smart people who actually want to, you know, martyr themselves....
