108 years ago today, President William McKinley succumbed to wounds inflicted by his anarchist assassin, and Vice President Theodore Roosevelt took the oath of office, becoming our youngest President to that time. Mark Hanna, at the time Senator from Ohio, and Republican power broker extraordinaire, was less than pleased at this turn of events, and was alleged to have uttered the title remark.
Unlike the youngster currently occupying his crib, Roosevelt actually had relevant experience for the job.
