This is why kids need to be taught about firearms from an early age.
After reading that report, wouldn't you think that if the kid who fired the gun had at least an elementary understanding of firearms, he would have either a) left the damn thing the fuck alone and called an adult, or b) at least checked first to see if the damn thing was loaded?
And of course, if he'd been indoctrinated in the Four Rules, we wouldn't be reading this story at all.
Don't tell me that kids that young can't understand basic rules and safely handle firearms accordingly. I did when I was that age.
