(POSTSCRIPT TO VOTING: The precinct is, as it has been for several years, in what I would consider to be near-total disarray. When my father was a poll inspector, he would never have allowed all the yak-yak and hustle-bustle. The clerk who checked me in looked like he was 12 years old but claimed he was 18. The inspector was too busy talking to two of the young ladies to bother paying much attention to me. I may have to volunteer next time and whip these people into shape.
AND my mother is still registered here, even though she moved out of the precinct over two years ago and we've pestered the registration board several times about it.
I noticed that there were absolutely no Carson signs or supporters outside the precinct, but the Elrod campaign was well-represented with three signs and a polite young man handing out literature. But this has generally been a Republican precinct in the past.)
