FoxSports (h/t: my wifeepoo):
The National Basketball Association is investigating whether Knicks president and head coach Isiah Thomas ordered a hard foul on J.R. Smith that effectively started a huge brawl with the Nuggets on Saturday night, according to a report in The New York Times.
The title of this post notwithstanding, this wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Mr. Bad Boy still plays dirty.
BTW, I haven't said anything about this little brouhaha yet, but there had better be some season-ending suspensions resulting from it, or Pacers fans are probably going to lynch David Stern the next time he shows his face in Conseco Fieldhouse. I think at minimum both Carmelo Anthony and Jared Jefferies should be facing LONG suspensions. And I think the Knicks organization needs to take a long look at Isiah and make up their minds that he's not the man for the job, regardless of whether or not he is sanctioned by the league.
