But a predictable, completely BDS one nonetheless. Democrat much?
Red-state label does damage to IndianaTo be titled as a red state or blue state has its disadvantages. Indiana has been seen as a Republican stronghold or a red state. Every political party considers that Indiana will always go Republican. This works to the detriment of the state's economy, as no big political spending fights between contesting parties infuse money into local economies purchasing newspaper ads, radio or television time as they do in Ohio or other "battleground states." For example, Democrats did not even run anyone for the 2006 Senate seat, costing Indiana millions of dollars that were spent in other states. No big political conventions take place in Indianapolis to woo Indiana voters. Political trending and red-state labeling have cost Indiana millions of dollars of outside political money that could have been used in local communities.
