about one more time, I am going to fucking scream. Or possibly shoot a Democrat.
I don't want to sound like the New York Times and "I don't know anyone who voted for Nixon", but frankly, I don't know anyone who's lost their job for purely economic reasons since the Clinton administration. If Bush really had the worst record on jobs since Hoover, wouldn't you expect things to be worse than they currently are? I mean, you hardly ever see anyone walking anymore, but everyone seems to have a nice new (or relatively new) expensive car. College enrollments are doing fine (and prices keep rising). New malls keep opening (one is going in down the street from us with yet another Galyans/Dicks, yet another Bed Bath and Beyond, yet another Macaroni Grill, yet another Marsh Supermarket...). There are two new bank branches being built in Broad Ripple less than a block apart. And (as noted) everyone seems to have a job. Maybe not the job they'd really like to have, but still, a job.
When Kerry's partisans are ready to talk about Kerry's non-existent 20-year record of accomplishments in the Senate, someone let me know. Till then I'm done listening to Democrats other than Zell Miller.
