I haven't seen such brazen disregard for the law since Jesse Jackson back in the '80s (if not mistaken, he hit up Hafez al-Assad of Syria to get some hostages back from the Lebanese, or something like that).
(FWIW, this isn't really Logan Act material, but she's still trying to influence Aussie public opinion so as to force their government to stop supporting the war. So as far as I'm concerned, that's an attempt at sideways diplomacy.)
