Essentially, when the economy is set to "puree", deficits like this sort of pale in the grand scheme of things.
Would I like to see spending cut? Absopositively. Would I like to see the war on terror prosecuted to the fullest extent? Yep. Will it help Bush to spend lavishly (well, for a Republican) on domestic projects? Jury's still out on that.
Will I vote for Bush even though he's not acting very Reagan-like in the domestic smaller-government sphere? Yes, because Kerry or any of the other dwarves would be MUCH, MUCH worse. And voting for some third-party candidate is a throwaway that gets you nada (we found that out in 1992 and 1996).
