I don't know why everyone is in such a tizzy about an openly-gay Episcopal bishop. Reform Judaism has been ordaining openly-gay rabbis since 1990.
I also don't know why everyone is up in arms about gay marriage. Reform Judaism approved gay unions in 1996 and reaffirmed that approval in 2000.
Of course, this explains a lot about why I haven't been a Reform Jew for many years.
