The question I always ask is "how does a molecule as heavy as dichlorodifluoromethane (Freon-12, CCl2F2) get up that high in the atmosphere?"
I never get a good answer, but I do know that Freon-12 is heavier than air. I installed too many air conditioners in my misspent youth not to know that.
