I just remembered, I meant to mention this last night. We were on the way home from the Pacers game (we won) and listening to WIBC. ABC Snooze came on and was reporting on how the troops in Southern Iraq had run up against some fairly stiff resistance on the part of Iraqi divisions that wouldn't surrender. Terms were used that suggested we were caught off guard about this, and that we were unsure of what we were going to do next.
Got home, turned on Fox, and not a word was said about any such problem...and I see nothing again this morning that would suggest that there is such a problem...certainly Tommy Franks apparently didn't have much to say about such a problem...and I suspect that if we had such a problem, a daisy cutter or two would remedy it rather quickly. In the meantime, there was that great report of Iraqi conscripts shooting their officers so they could surrender. (Link via the Corner.)
Which only goes to show that if you get your news from Disney, it's probably a fable.
